He has become the first player to win six titles at the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals. He won with amazing score: 6-3, 6-7(6), and 6-3 in two hours and 16 minutes.
One of the other things I know about this special event is that this is the 100th final in Federer's life of career. The legendary players like Pete Sampras and Ivan Lendl, they only have each 5 titles in this kind of championship. So Federer himself has made a record.
Another interesting thing I just found out and I really want to share with tennis fans is that Federer is now in fifth place on the Open Era list (since 1968) for most match wins, having overtaken his childhood idol Stefan Edberg (who has 806 wins) with victory over Tsonga on Sunday. That means the final win is the 807th win of Federer. That is incredible! Imagine how hard it takes to be able to just get into the final of only a small tennis contest in your country. Winning a match like that is already awesome. He won 807 times!!!! And this also makes it a little bit more difficult for recent famous players like Nadal or Djokovic to catch up with Federer while he has gained so many world records at the moment. He is now a legendary already in people's mind.
